Project Title / Description

Structural and Geochemical Studies of the Newry Granite Complex.

The objective of the project is to develop
a substantial new field of mapping and geochemical analysis which will lead to the constitution of a new model for the emplacement and origin of the Newry plutonic body in the enigmatic southern Uplands Caledomide belt.

The results have been presented at several national research meetings.

The project was jointly funded by Enterprise Ireland and by a UCC postgraduate studentship.
