It is hoped that future exchange of students or guest lectures from either/both universities may result from lectures such as that detailed. Annual conferences of the IAAS continue to be a fruitful meeting place for scholars in American Studies throughout Ireland and the U.K. The 1999 conference was held at UCD. It is hoped that issues of the Irish Journal of American Studies will continue to be published yearly. |

| Project Title / Description |
Preparation of annual research conference in Ireland under the auspices of the Royal Musical Association (RMA). This is an annual research conference organised each May. Venue rotates between all the university departments of Music in Ireland. The purpose is to bring together scholars from all over Ireland in a collaborative exchange of intellectual ideas and research. |
